The Public Library on Wise Bread!

The blog Wise Bread: Living Large on a Small Budget is a daily stop on my list of blogs. Wise Bread offers articles and links to help you budget, save money and find great deals. (They offer a Best Deals on a daily basis, which are links to free and greatly reduced pricing on products. I love seeing what is available!)

What excited me was the article called Free Databases and Manuals at Public Libraries. The author mentions Auto Repair, Home Repair and the Homework Help that is available through manuals and other books at her local library. In this economy, libraries are getting plenty of great PR and it is nice to see an article that looks at something besides our DVDs and books.

In addition to books about home and auto repair, the Randolph Public Library offers online access to databases and programs that you can use from home. Randquest.org is the library's portal for all of our amazing online resources.

All you need is a library card!

Here are just a few of the online resources YOU can use from home:
You can find tons more (yes, tons is a technical term) at Randquest.org. All free. if you need help navigating, call us or stop by for a tour of the library online resources.

Thanks for reading.

Author Visit and Book Signing

Join us on Tuesday, July 21 at 7:00 pm for a visit and book signing with local author Dale Crotts. Dale will sign copies of his book and discuss the experience of writing his first novel--and his plans for future titles!

The Reckoning
Fifteen years ago Spencer Rawlings left Michigan, and a three year law practice, after discovering his father’s, Judge Rawlings, involvement with a murder cover-up for a well known Detroit mob family, the VanWarner’s. When he returns to Traverse City, Michigan for his father’s funeral, he finds himself deep in a mystery involving his father, the VanWarner’s, and a missing ten million dollars. As Spence pieces together the clues to find the money, he suddenly finds himself on trial for murder, and learning just how involved his father was with the VanWarner’s. While eluding the police to find the evidence to clear his name, Spence may have found the love he has been searching for in Macy Merit; an avenger with a strong military background and desire, not only for Spence, but also to find justice. A page turning unpredictable mystery added with romance, The Reckoning creates a compelling story you will be unable to put down.
Visit Dale's website for more information.
