For Star Wars Fans Only...
This is a short list of some of the more recent Star Wars titles that I have enjoyed.

Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn takes us to the time period before Episode III. We finally learn the truth behind the legendary dreadnaughts of Outbound Flight and Jedi Master Jorus C'Baoth from the Heir to the Empire series (1991), which many fans herald as the triumphant return of Star Wars.

Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader by James Luceno takes place immediately after Episode III. It explains the turmoil of the first days after Order 66 and the internal struggle that Anakin faces as he becomes Darth Vader.

Labyrinth of Evil by James Luceno ends five minutes before Episode III. We are introduced to General Grievious (much better character in the book) and we discover how close the Jedi Council came to discovering the true identity of Darth Sidious.

I highly recommend these titles to all Star Wars fans...and if you have seen Episodes I through III, you will appreciate the back stories.

Andy Hunt Shares His Toy Tractor Collection.

Over the last 5 years or so, I have accumulated this collection of farm equipment. I think there's nothing better in the world than an old tractor! It makes me sad to see old tractors out rusting away. I treasure this collection - a couple of the pieces were my dad's when he was a boy. I plan to add to this collection for years to come. --Andy Hunt

Come out and see Andy's collection. It will be on display until the end of March. Don't forget to check the blog for more photos of Andy's collection.

Great Reads...

One of my all time favorite reads is the Doomsday Book by Connie Willis. We just received her latest--a novella--about seances, skeptics...and love.

Inside Job leads us through a professional skeptic's perspective as he tries to debunk the latest channeler to hit Los Angeles and ultimately discovers some true channeling. At just under 100 pages, Inside Job is a quick and satisfying read. There is not as much suspense as the Doomsday Book, but I found myself waiting for my next lunch break to continue the story.

Connie Willis has been awarded 8 Hugo Awards, 9 Locus Poll Awards and 6 Nebula Awards.
