• pens - black, blue, or red ink
• subject dividers

• pencil bags and pencil boxes
• composition books - one, three, or five subject
• student scissors
• 3-prong folders - any color
• erasers
• markers - thin or broad tip
• marbled composition books

Digeridoo This Wednesday!

Join us this Wednesday, June 18 @ 10:30 am for Didgeridoo Down Under.

Digeridoo Down Under is an Australian-themed, family-friendly show that combines music, art, storytelling, dancing, puppetry, comedy, environmental education and audience participation with messages about reading, and respect for all cultures and creatures. More at www.didgrevolution.com.

The event is free and open to the public.

As a reminder to parents, all children ages 6 and younger must be accompanied by a parent / legal guardian for their entire stay at the library.

Celebrate Earth Day with Us!

We wanted to share two ways you can celebrate Earth Day with your library.

Donate your used and new books for the book sale!

We are always interested in clean, used books for our sale. Unfortunately, older encyclopedias and musty books don't sell very well. We will be more than happy to give you a tax receipt.

Support the Archdale Library Friends and save bags!

The Archdale Library Friends group is selling canvas tote bags for $5.00 a piece. The bags were donated by First1Bank and all proceeds benefit children's programming and new book purchases. You can use this bag for grocery shopping, trips to the beach and for helping with errands!

Voting

The Board of Elections is using the Library's meeting room for Absentee/One-Stop Voting.

Doll Program--Thursday March 6th

Join us from 3-4 pm on Thursday, March 6th for a visit with the High Point Doll Museum Director, Paul Siceloff.

Make sure to bring you special doll with you! Refreshments will be served.

The Dough Also Rises!

During February, we are displaying the Pillsbury Doughboy collection of Teresa Taylor. She has been collecting Doughboys for 15 years. Teresa let us know that this is about half of what she owns!

College Financial Aid Program

Stop in on Tuesday, February 5 at 6:30 pm for a free program on saving money for college and financial aid. The program is sponsored by CFNC (College Foundation of North Carolina).
